Paris Psychotherapy and Counselling Practice

The most common reasons for finding a counsellor are stress, anxiety, relationship problems, anger-management, depression, sexual issues, expatriation and cross cultural issues. I work with a full spectrum of difficulties.

What is Counselling and Psychotherapy?

The terms ‘Counselling’ and ‘Psychotherapy’ are similar and refer to the process of meeting with a trained therapist to help manage personal issues.

A Counsellor has specific training in counselling theory and skills, as well as clinical experience of face-to-face counselling.

A Psychotherapist is also trained in counselling skills and theory.
A Counselling Psychologist has similar training to a counsellor or psychotherapist, but also holds a degree in Psychology.

A Psychiatrist is a medically-trained professional who offers diagnostic assessment and a treatment programme which could include drugs or psychological therapy.

Qualifications and Ethics

I hold a postgraduate diploma in counselling (PGdip) from University of East London (UEL). Diploma accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and a Gestalt therapist diploma from Ecole Parisienne de Gestalt-Thérapie. In addition I hold the European Certificate of Psychotherapy established by the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP).

I adhere to the ethical framework for good practice as set out by the BACP.

In addition, I hold a ‘mastère spécialisé ’ from HEC Paris business school.
